A little learning, indeed, may be a dangerous thing, but the want of learning is a calamity to any people.

- Frederick Douglas

This is why people do not vote. On the right, we have a pro-big-government Bush administration masquerading as conservation. What is the response from the other party? Two guys taking a hard left, because it is better that “we” provide for their causes than they contribute their resources to such causes. This is how the wealthy on the left stay wealthy.

It is one of those interesting little dilemmas that seems to never be addressed. Extremely wealthy individuals like Kerry and Edwards believe in big government and their programs yet these programs are to be funded by taxation. Why are they not spending their money on these programs? If they are such great causes, where is their money? If you look, there is one place they will spend their money, on getting themselves more power, preserving their monies by funding programs through taxation.

If you really believe in something, you should be the first to step up because it is the right thing to do, and be willing to put your dollars into what you believe. But this is harsh, because they really have. They believe in more power for themselves, just like the rest of the politicians, and you will have to take care of yourself, as you should, as well as whatever program they can start or grow.

Just give me more government, more burden, so the wealthy can keep their wealth and acquire power. What is our choice, big and bigger?
