Oil Stimulus

The "economic stimulus" payments from the government are on the way, but did you stop and consider where the money will be going? People have been cutting back on their fuel consumption because of the high prices, but this "free money" will allow them to splurge and fill their vehicle an extra time or two.

It is our estimate that from 7-12% of this stimulus package will go directly to fuel such as gas. Is it just us being cynical in noting that in the week before payment distribution gas prices have made another quick jump?

If you do have money coming, pay down debt. Reduce your monthly expenditures and your debt and life will be a bit more pleasant. As far as gas is concerned, we need competition to drive these prices down but no one seems to want that...
