Money that should have never been taken from you in the first place is going to be returned under a plan where the government is going to send us all a check to stimulate the economy. This is a long-term solution? The Democrats in the legislature appear to have agreed to not worry themselves with how the plan will be paid for--read, they have agreed to not cut spending elsewhere. Do you know of anywhere else this kind of fiscal policy works? Try this in your business or your household and bankruptcy is your future, but we are willing to accept this from our "leaders"?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has talked of a package totaling $100 billion or more. House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio spoke of a bill in the range of $100 billion to $150 billion. Aides have said Bush does not believe the stimulus spending should be offset -- or paid for -- by any tax or spending changes elsewhere. BTW: If you run a fiscally responsible household or business, you would be classified as a "deficit hawk".
