Technically, the wording of the articles headline is correct:

Pacific islanders move to escape global warming

It is a weighty headline, designed to impart importance. Then, you read the first line of the article:

Rising seas have forced 100 people on a Pacific island to move to higher ground in what may be the first example of a village formally displaced because of modern global warming, a U.N. report said on Monday. [Read]

100 people? Clear Politics is everywhere, so you had better beware. Who reads all of the words past the scary headlines anyway? You do, so keep making it clear.
