Feels Like the First Time

It will be the first time in more than 50 years since the Iraqi’s have had a democratically elected government, but they are doing the dirty work necessary to make it happen. Choosing Kurdish leader Jalal Talabani as the interim president is surprising, but you know the Kurds are dancing in the streets. The government, so far, seems to be inclusive.

The Iraqis are making it happen. Do they want the Americans to leave? Sure, when they can fend for themselves. Are they glad the Americans came? What do you think? Does anyone really believe, when know one knows what they are thinking, that it has not been for the best?
