Here is a quick article worth a read that discusses how the White House has made a move to get the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) to push propaganda art, or as the like to call it, issue oriented art. It is fascinating how so many of these "big thinkers" in the art community have warmed up to the idea of the government dictating art...you always knew they just wanted a nipple to suck on:
