Obama Talks

Obama would rather talk about things than go to Washington and deal with the $700,000,000,000 bailout. John McCain said he is suspending the campaign and debate, temporarily, to deal with this huge issue. So Barack Obama said, "The debate is ON!"

McCain asked Obama for 10 town hall debates; Obama declined. McCain said he cannot be at this week's debate because there are some important issues to deal with in Washington; Obama said he is going to the debate, alone.

I have spoken to Senator Obama and informed him of my decision and have asked him to join me, McCain planned to say in New York City, according to advance excerpts released by his campaign. I am calling on the president to convene a meeting with the leadership from both houses of Congress, including Senator Obama and myself. It is time for both parties to come together to solve this problem. [Read]

The real problem is that there will not be the opportunity to give scripted answers or ask scripted questions when dealing with real issues in Washington. If Obama really has the ability to lead this country he should do like McCain and get back to Washington and show the citizenry he has the right stuff.

McCain is playing political strategy again.

The notion that they need John McCain in Washington to help work on the economic crisis is ridiculous!

Besides if candidate McCain can't take out a few hours to make a debate and give his little input to the legislation at the same time, then how can McCain be president. You don't get to postpone world events, and sometimes more that two serious things happen in the world.

Barack Obama doesn't have to have debates on John McCain's schedule, anymore than John McCain has to have them on Obama's. So this notion that because Obama didn't agree to McCain's 10 town halls means something is STUPID! So I challenge you to come and beat me on my terms, and somehow your wrong for saying no? It's only natural that people will want to set-up mutually beneficial conditions or conditions that favor themselves. But, you would be called an idiot for putting yourself at a disadvantage because the other guy asked you to.

John McCain keeps trying to outsmart Obama by getting Obama to play McCain's game. Dont' be mad because Obama's too smart for McCain. There is an equally compelling argument for why they should stay out of Washington. A body of 533 men and women do not need to last 2 in order to get something done, especially when you consider that they almost never function with a super majority anyway.

Johnny come lately, hasn't been in Washington for most of the year and niether has Obama, now all of a sudden Congress can't procede without him, please!
